Elements Therapeutic Massage Promotes Franchise Ownership among Veterans, Launches $25,000 Incentive

October 19, 2011 // Franchising.com // Highlands Ranch, CO – Elements Therapeutic Massage, a fast growing franchise in the $20 billion massage category, announced today the launch of a $25,000 financial incentive to help military veterans open an Elements studio.

Effective immediately, the initial franchise fee associated with a veteran’s first Elements franchise will be discounted to $20,000 from Elements’ standard $45,000 initial franchise fee.* The initiative is in support of the Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran), a voluntary effort of International Franchise Association (IFA) member-companies that is designed to encourage franchise ownership among honorably discharged veterans.

Elements’ participation in VetFran is a particularly important initiative on both a personal and professional level for Jeff Jervik, President and CEO of Fitness Together Franchise Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Elements, who is a veteran himself. He also serves on the IFA VetFran Committee, is working with other franchisors on the committee to enhance the benefits their companies offer to military veterans who become franchisees.

“We are passionate about helping veterans become business leaders, supporting job creation in their communities, and making a positive difference in their clients’ lives,” said Jervik. “Franchise ownership provides veterans with a natural transition from military service to a new career path that also includes established systems and processes designed to help them succeed.”

Elements Therapeutic Massage is particularly interested in finding qualified franchise candidates in Boston, Denver, Chicago, Phoenix, Seattle, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Dallas, Houston, Washington, DC, among other U.S. cities. The franchise system has grown to more than 80 locations since 2007 and is on pace to open 500 franchise locations by 2015.

Across the country, Elements has generated strong growth even in a down economy with average studio revenues growing 19 percent in 2010 compared to the prior year.** For potential franchisees, Elements boasts a lower investment and cost structure with a smaller footprint, less build-out and lower rent than competitors in the massage retail space, making the franchise more operationally efficient. It is the only massage franchise to share certain gross profit information in its Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

*Veterans who work with franchise brokers are eligible for a $5,000 discount from Elements’ standard $45,000 initial franchise fee.
**Based on studios open for at least 1 year as of January 1, 2010.
