Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers® to Open Early 2013

NORMAN, Okla. -September 24, 2012 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - One of America's fastest growing better-burger restaurants, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers®, is coming to the heart of football country with a location in Norman, OK scheduled to open in early 2013. Demolition of the former bank is complete at the site of 24th & Main and construction on the all-new 3,300 square foot Freddy’s commenced just last week.

The new restaurant will be the 12th location for franchisee Bob Rasberry of RKS Ventures, Inc., currently operating throughout Oklahoma and Dallas, TX. “We have been waiting years for the perfect location in Norman. I am thrilled the wait is finally over,” said Rasberry. “With the University of Oklahoma less than three miles away and Norman being a family oriented community, we are excited about being part of this community.”

Freddy's Norman will be located at 2403 W. Main Street complete with a fun, family-friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy the famous, cooked-to-order steakburgers, premium frozen custard made fresh throughout the day, and friendly hospitality. The new location offers drive-thru service, outdoor seating, and is complemented by easy access to abundant parking.

A local crew of approximately 60 people will be employed at Freddy’s. The restaurant will begin hiring for most of those positions in December and managers are already being trained in nearby OKC locations. The menu features a variety of cooked-to-order items, including specialty all-beef Vienna hot dogs, chili, piping hot shoestring fries, and the namesake frozen custard and steakburgers.
