Rainbow Academy Appoints New COO Ahead of Regional Growth

September 03, 2014 // Franchising.com // Piscataway, NJ - Rainbow Academy, a New Jersey-based early child care education franchise, announced that Gigi Schweikert has joined the company's executive team as Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. In this role, Schweikert will report directly to President and CEO Guy Falzarano, overseeing business development, sales and marketing, operations, education, and training.

"Over the past 17 years, we have worked diligently to build a strong team and build our brand, and we're thrilled to have Gigi join our leadership team," said Falzarano. "Her business savvy and strong leadership skills combined with her wealth of knowledge in the business and early childhood education will allow for continued strategic growth, strengthen our position as an innovator and expand our reputation nationally."

Schweikert joins with more than 30 years of experience as a thought leader in child care and early childhood education. Over the course of her career, Schweikert has served as a keynote speaker and highly respected consultant for hundreds of community-based child care providers, Fortune 100 corporate child care programs, and established brands such as Goddard, Primrose and Kiddie Academy. With 18 published books, written in three languages, she is passionate about raising the bar in the early learning industry through innovative programs in leadership, child development and professionalism. She is also a regular contributor to Child Care Information Exchange, a former Director of the United Nations Child Care Centre in NYC and the mother of four children.
