October 01, 2014 // Franchising.com // Piscataway, N.J. – Rainbow Academy early learning centers, a New Jersey-based early childcare education franchise with more than 16 locations in operation, has unveiled its new name and branding as Lightbridge Academy as the company prepares to open new centers.
The company, which was originally founded in 1997, announced the change to Lightbridge Academy ahead of a substantial growth phase, with almost 40 child care centers under development in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia over the next two years. The new brand will help differentiate the company and highlight its commitment to providing an innovative child care solution to working families.
"We wanted the new brand to reflect the values that have established us as an innovator in the child care industry and help us stand out as we continue to grow," said Guy Falzarano, president and CEO of Lightbridge Academy. "The name ‘Lightbridge’ is a natural evolution of the Rainbow Academy brand and truly captures our commitment to illuminating young minds."
The Lightbridge Academy name represents the enlightenment of learning and the link between two places, while illustrating the company’s commitment to making life’s journey easier for parents and children. The company’s growth, in part, stems from its "Circle of Care" philosophy, a belief that the happiness of its franchisees and teachers, the needs of working parents, and the importance of providing excellent care and education to children must be interconnected to give families the best early child care education possible.
The company franchised in 2011 in order to make its unique childcare concepts available to more families. Lightbridge Academy is working closely with its franchisees, parents and staff communities to ensure a smooth transition to the new brand as it updates signage and prepares to open new locations.
Established in 1997 under the name Rainbow Academy, Lightbridge Academy provides early education and child care to children ages six weeks through kindergarten, as well as special programming for children up to 10 years old during school holidays, breaks and summer camp. The company franchised in 2011 in an effort to expand their distinctive concept throughout the Northeast; it currently has over 50 childcare centers either open or in development throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Founded by Guy and Julia Falzarano, the Falzarano family remains deeply involved in the company, from Guy Falzarano as CEO to their youngest grandchild enrolled in one of the child care facilities.
