The Kumon Math Challenge

TEANECK, N.J., (Sunday, July 10, 2005) - The Kumon Math Challenge is an
annual summer competition for children to challenge their math skills and win
scholarships totaling $75,000 awarded by Kumon Math and Reading Centers. The
event is open to the public and takes place at 33 universities across the
United States and Canada today. The purpose of the event is to motivate
children to develop their math skills and practice taking a test in a
university environment.

When: Sunday, July 10, 2005
11 a.m. - Noon
Eye-Catching Visuals: 10:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.

Who: The event is open to children presently in grades 1-10.

Where: The competition takes place at 33 universities across the
United States and Canada.

Scholarship: The top 10 students in each grade will be awarded
scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,500. In total, $75,000
in scholarships will be awarded.

Cost: $17 per student, all participants will receive a free gift
