Stan Berenbaum Named President Of American Leak Detection

(Monday, February 27, 2006) - American Leak Detection (ALD) today announced the appointment of Stan Berenbaum to serve as president of the new organization. American Leak Detection is a franchise system that has joined emerging growth technology company PlainSight. Founder and CEO Dick Rennick will continue his role as CEO of American Leak Detection as well as head up product development at PlainSight. Berenbaum will oversee the day-to-day operations at ALD.

Berenbaum has worked in the franchise industry for over 15 years, including seven years as an executive with Little Caesar Enterprises, where he most recently served as vice president and general counsel. He previously specialized in franchising, antitrust and trade regulation law as an attorney with Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn, one of the largest law firms in Detroit.

"Stan has devoted his entire career to helping franchise businesses improve their systems, sales and services. His experience spans strategic planning, sales, finance, franchise and company operations, research and development, human resources, marketing and public relations,$rdquo; said Rennick. "He is highly qualified to extend American Leak Detection's 31-year leadership in finding hidden leaks without causing property damage."

Rennick will remain CEO of American Leak Detection, the world's leading provider of non-invasive water and sewer leak detection services. He is simultaneously serving as Chief Development Officer of PlainSight with responsibility for business and product strategy. Rennick is also the outgoing chairman of the International Franchise Association (IFA). The IFA is the world's oldest and largest trade group representing the franchising sector. Its membership includes more than 1,000 franchise systems, 8,000 franchisees and 400 suppliers.

American Leak Detection is now a division of PlainSight that continues to operate as an independent franchise system with its own corporate identity and management team.

The partnership combines American Leak Detection's knowledge of the infrastructure market with PlainSight's 80+ patent base and team of computer scientists, mathematicians, analytic chemists and software engineers from Yale and other leading U.S. educational institutions. With a focus on the franchise community, Connecticut-based PlainSight has designed a suite of internet-based products and services that deliver greater profitability to both franchisees and franchisors. For a demonstration of the new technology, visit PlainSight in Booth #126 at the international Franchising Convention, February 25-28, in Palm Springs, CA.

"With Stan assuming day-to-day responsibility for American Leak Detection's operations, Dick will have more time to focus on business development for the new products and services that inspired our two companies to join forces," said Patrick DeSouza, President and CEO of PlainSight. "This will enable us to quickly get these new technologies to market."
