Franchisee Starts Small; Succeeds Big

Hernandez began his career as a framer for a FASTFRAME location in Ventura with one of the original franchisees. He learned what it took to not only complete the daily tasks, but he also began to learn the ins and outs of store operations. His next FASTFRAME position, he was a framer for a corporate store in Thousand Oaks, increased his understanding in store ownership and also gave him a glimpse of the corporate life as FASTFRAME’s HQ is also located in Thousand Oaks, California.

By this time, Hernandez knew he was ready for an investment, and he made a splash with two of the largest stores in the network. In 2002, he purchased the Thousand Oaks store from the company and within two years proceeded to increase the store sales by 20% - a tremendous margin for a store in an already mature market. He wasn’t done there. Hernandez then put together a business plan, as well as a relocation plan, to purchase another company owned store, Market Street in San Francisco, one of the top grossing stores in the country, and 400 miles away from his home. He approached FASTFRAME with his plans and was soon on his way to San Francisco. Once again, success rained down upon him as he increased sales in that store by 15%. “I knew I could make a difference with this company and I am proud to be affiliated with FASTFRAME,” said Carlos Hernandez. “It has been an incredible investment and I feel fully supported by the FASTFRAME team. We have a strong product which encourages repeat customers and the company has given me every opportunity to grow.”
