New York Gourmet Quick Serve Restaurant Fights Back After the Hijacking of Its Online Sausage Store.
NEW YORK CITY, Mandler's The Original Sausage Company, the gourmet quick serve restaurant off Union Square featured this month on NBC's Today Show, is offering a year's supply of mouth-watering gourmet sausage for information leading to the arrest of the cyber hijacker of its online sausage store.
The announcement follows the 8-hour hijack of www.mandlers.com and the attempted sale of its domain name.
The restaurant, which has been inviting prospective franchisees the opportunity of capitalizing on Mandler's momentum by investing in its unique quick serve concept, had its domain name hijacked July 12.
Instead of Mandler's online sausage store, signature mustards and franchise offering, visitors to www.mandlers.com saw instead a $50,000 notice of sale for the domain name until the restaurant's webmaster succeeded in regaining control of the site.
Mandler's The Original Sausage Company rated the top "dog" in New York City dining, celebrated its quick- serve franchise with an Independence Day invitation on NBC's Today Show for a "haute dog extravaganza."
"With such popularity, it's no wonder our gourmet, European-style sausage restaurant is attracting such wide entrepreneurial interest from around the country," said restaurant founder Ronnie Mandler.
Mandler is currently in discussion with prospective franchisees in New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New York. Those who just can't wait for Mandler's to open near them, can satisfy their appetite for mouth-watering gourmet sausages and signature mustards by ordering from Mandler's online sausage store now open 24 hours-a-day.
