COMFORT KEEPERS ADDS DIRECTOR OF FRANCHISE DEVELOPMENT

DAYTON, Ohio (August 28, 2006) - CK Franchising, Inc, an international franchisor that offers companionship and other in-home care services primarily for seniors under the COMFORT KEEPERS® brand, announced today it has named Jim Brown as a director of franchise development. Brown will use his vast knowledge of the franchise industry, as well as his experience in sales management, to grow the Comfort Keepers' Franchise within the United States.

"I am very excited to be a member of the Comfort Keepers team," said Brown. "This is a rising industry with significant projected growth continuing for the next several decades. Comfort Keepers franchise system is exceeding the industry's growth rate and is poised to continue its dramatic increase in the future."

Today in the United States, 6,000 people turn 65 everyday, and one in five Americans will be older than age 65 by the year 2030 according to the American Association of Retired Persons in 2003. That increase of U.S. seniors translates into more people looking for assistance with daily living activities at a staggering rate. The Comfort Keepers network has grown to be a leader in providing the services that allow older adults to live happy, fulfilling lives in the comfort of their own homes. And, national studies consistently show seniors would prefer to remain in the privacy of their own homes.

Brown believes Comfort Keepers' franchise model is the best business model for non-medical in-home care. "Comfort Keepers owners have local ownership and control of their businesses. They are able to stay involved in their communities while providing a solution to a growing need."

CK Franchising, Inc. added Brown's position to the company's current franchise development team in order to better segment operations across the country. Brown will handle the eastern part of the United States, while Larry France will manage the western part.

"We are happy to have Jim on board and believe he will be a great asset to the Comfort Keepers team," said Jeff Bevis, Certified Franchise Executive and Vice President of Franchise Development. "The division of the team into regional operations will allow us to better serve potential franchisees. Jim's prior experience and knowledge of franchise development will truly benefit our growing system and future owners."

Prior to working with Comfort Keepers, Brown entered franchising in 1989 as a MotoPhoto single unit operator and quickly became a multi-unit operator growing to four locations. He has received numerous awards including Franchisee of the year. In addition to owning and operating franchises, he was an Area Developer responsible for franchise sales and support, National Sales Manager responsible for franchise transfer sales and most recently, Vice President of Franchising.

Comfort Keepers caregivers provide non-medical services such as companionship, light housekeeping, dressing and grooming guidance, meal preparation, grocery shopping and incidental transportation services. Comfort Keepers offices employ dependable, caring and friendly staff, each of whom has been carefully screened, bonded and insured for the peace of mind of clients and their families. Services may vary by location based on client needs and local practices.
