Firehouse Subs Names Delks Director Of Franchise Development

JACKSONVILLE, FLA (Friday, December 22, 2006) - Greg Delks recently joined Firehouse Subs as Director of Franchise Development. In his new role, he will be responsible for the recruitment, training and management of Area Representative (AR) candidates for all available AR territories for Firehouse Subs.

With more than 20 years experience in sales and business development, Delks previously was regional manager for Quick Auto/Heritage Financial Group in Indianapolis, where he successfully opened two new dealerships in seven months.

Prior to that, he served as vice president for Franchise Development for J.D. Byrider Systems, Inc., a large used car franchise dealership headquartered in Carmel, Ind., he nearly doubled the profit for franchise operators by strategically recruiting and training sales and finance teams and supervising and securing lines of credit for future franchisees. Also during his tenure at J.D. Byrider, he served as vice president of sales for Discover Software and as director of recruiting where he started a new division of the company from the ground up, finding candidates for corporate openings and franchise partnerships.

As director of franchise development for Firehouse Subs, Delks develops proactive recruitment and sales techniques to enhance the mission of the Franchise Development department and responds to all franchise inquiries for territories not yet assigned to an active Area Representative.

Delks graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Started just 12 years ago by Jacksonville, Fla., firefighter brothers Robin and Chris Sorensen, Firehouse Subs has grown like wildfire. From a single store in Jacksonville, Firehouse Subs today has 258 "stations" in 11 Southern states, making it the 10th-fastest-growing chain in the nation by Restaurant Business Magazine.
