Supercuts Races Into Grand Am

(Saturday, January 06, 2007) - At a press conference held today at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, Supercuts announced that it extended its relationship with NASCAR partner Fitz Motorosports for two more years and has entered into a joint marketing program with Fitz Motorsports and Grand Am Koni Challenge team, Hyper Sport.

Based out of Atlanta, Georgia, Hyper Sport, which includes Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey, currently competes in the Grand Am Koni Challenge series and will race in the Grand Am Rolex series later this year.

Supercuts ventures into the Grand Am series as co-primary sponsor for Hyper Sport's Mustang GT #54, which is wheeled by Dempsey, as well Hyper Sport Mustang GT #55. Supercuts shares the program with partners including American Crew, a hair care product manufacturer that distributes products in over 2,000 Supercuts salons.

"We've had a terrific five-year relationship with Fitz Motorsports," said Patti Langworthy, marketing director for Supercuts. "Partnering with Hyper Sport allows us to expand our racing program into Grand Am –with the added bonus of one of television's premier stars."

Fitz Motorsports owner, Armando Fitz, is equally pleased, "Having a marketing relationship with Supercuts for the past five years has allowed us to continually motivate our racing program. Now, we are able to bring them even more exposure through Hyper Sport."

"This is a great opportunity for everyone involved," said Hyper Sport principal Rick Skelton. "In marketing our team, we have come across companies that benefit from a NASCAR program, while Armando comes across companies seeking to diversify into the exclusive business-to-business environment of Grand Am."

2007 Driver Line-Ups. Amid photographers and fans, Supercuts unveiled its newly painted and numbered #22 Dodge Charger. The car will be piloted in 2007 by Nextel Cup driver David Stremme.

In addition to Dempsey, Hyper Sport's 2007 drivers will be Joe Foster, Rick Skelton, Scott Maxwell, Romeo Kapudija and Charles Espenlaub.
