January 11, 2007 // Franchising.com // COEUR D'ALENE, ID- -The Pita Pit at 320 Sherman Avenue in downtown Coeur d'Alene is being renovated and will be transformed into the Pita Pit USA National Training Center. The store will be closed for remodeling beginning for approximately 8 weeks beginning Monday January 15, 2007. Upon reopening, the new and improved restaurant will continue to provide the popular pita sandwiches, but will also be The Pita Pit USA National Training Center for new store owners and managers from across the Country.

"In addition to a good, healthy food product, our goal is to develop high quality franchises in high quality locations," said Jack Riggs, CEO, about the direction of the company. "The Coeur d'Alene store will serve as a model for all Pita Pits across the United States. We will test market new products and provide world class training for those operating their own locations. With 116 locations in 38 states and 55 more in development throughout the US, the need for an updated training center is increasing rapidly. "The updated features will include a new larger training classroom, updated bathrooms and modern food preparation areas," said Riggs, "There will be a few decor changes to the dining area, but most of the updating will occur in the back of the restaurant."

The Pita Pit is a quick casual restaurant with extended hours seven days a week.
