Vince Runco Named CEO of Metromedia Restaurant Group And President of the Metromedia Casual Dining Division

January 18, 2007 // Franchising.com // PLANO, Texas – The Metromedia Restaurant Group (MRG) board of directors announced today that Vince Runco has been promoted to chief executive officer of MRG and president of the Metromedia Casual Dining Division.

He succeeds Jeff Moody who resigned to pursue other business opportunities.

MRG is the parent company for Bennigan's, Steak and Ale, Ponderosa Steakhouse, Bonanza Steakhouse and The Tavern brands, encompassing more than 800 restaurants in 16 countries.

"This is an exciting time to be guiding MRG," Runco said. "I look forward to the opportunities we have to grow our brands both in the U.S. and globally."

Runco previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Metromedia Casual Dining, a division over Bennigan's, Steak and Ale and The Tavern concepts; and as president of worldwide franchising for Bennigan's, a chain that has grown to more than 310 locations in 10 countries.

John Saling, Bennigan's senior vice-president of operations, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer of Metromedia Casual Dining. He will assume Runco's vacated post overseeing the operations for Bennigan's, Steak and Ale, and the Tavern.

Eric Taylor, Bennigan's vice president of franchising, has been appointed senior vice president of worldwide franchise operations for MRG. He will be responsible for all franchise operations management and future development.
