NY’s Favorite “Haute Dogs” Head to Midtown Mandler’s®, The Original Sausage Co. to Open 2nd Restaurant

NEW YORK, NY -- February 2007) Mandler’s®, The Original Sausage Co. - home of New York’s famous “haute dogs” at 26 East 17th Street off Union Square (www.mandlers.com) - will be opening a second, larger restaurant with longer hours and a wider menu at 601 8th Avenue (between 39th and 40th Streets) near Port Authority, Times Square and the soon-to-be completed New York Times building, the week of March 12th. The new 1,200 square foot space will have twice as many seats, and will be open 7:00 AM- Midnight with plans for 24 hours of full operation by July.

Mandler’s® is known for its eleven, great value (only $5.45), 9 ½” long, flame-roasted sausage sandwiches â€" from mild Bratwurst to spicy Andouille or Chorizo â€" that can be dressed up with ten flavorful toppings and 6 gourmet mustards from the complimentary Mustard Bar. Now, in addition to freshly-baked breads and sides that include the “best in the neighborhood” French fries, crunchy zucchini fries and creamy corn fritters, Mandler’s® new store will offer fresh, sweet & savory crepes and fruit smoothies.

Mandler’s® Midtown store is part of an overall expansion plan that includes openings later this year on the Upper West Side and Midtown East, and franchises in NY, NJ, FL and NH. Franchise opportunities are also available in GA, DC, PA, CT and MA.
