My Girlfriend's Kitchen Receives Franchise 50 Award

The 2007 Franchise Business Review honors My Girlfriend's Kitchen for their high level of franchise owner satisfaction.

My Girlfriend's Kitchen, a top four franchise in the do-it-yourself meal preparation industry, has received a Franchise 50 award. The awards recognize the top 50 franchise companies with the highest levels of overall franchisee satisfaction, as well as Best in Category and Honorable Mention awards in 16 industry categories. My Girlfriend's Kitchen was recognized in the food franchise category with an honorable mention.

The Franchise 50 Awards were announced at the International Franchise Association's Annual Convention held February 24-27, 2007 at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Franchise Business Review surveyed more than 65,000 franchisees representing more than 300 companies.

"The Franchise 50 Awards are like the People's Choice Awards of franchising," said Franchise Business Review founder and president Eric Stites. "Franchisee satisfaction and success is where the rubber meets the road in every franchise system. The Franchise 50 Awards are so important because it's not us saying these companies are great, it's their own franchisees – the real franchise experts."

The Franchise 50 Awards survey itself consisted of a total of 40 questions. The first 20 questions were specific to the franchisees' satisfaction with their franchise system. Questions addressed five main areas: Training & Support, Franchise System, Franchisor Relationship, Financial Opportunity and Overall Satisfaction. The remaining 20 questions were focused on market area, business lifestyle, demographic and personal skills questions. Companies were ranked based on a proprietary formula taking into account each company's average satisfaction score, system size and rate of franchisee participation.
