JAMBA JUICE PURCHASES TEN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA FRANCHISE STORES

San Francisco, CA, (April 23, 2007) - Jamba Juice® is getting back to its roots. The category-defining leader in blended smoothies, juices and good-for-you-snacks, has announced the purchase of ten central California coast stores from franchisee Four Life Foods, LLC, owned by Jamba Juice Cofounders Linda Olds and Joe Vergara. Among these ten stores is the original Jamba Juice location, opened in 1990 in San Luis Obispo, California.

This acquisition is consistent with two of Jamba's long-term growth strategies - leveraging its existing infrastructure and company-owned and operated Jamba locations. To date, approximately 65% of the company's 616 store locations are company-owned with plans to open a total of 90 in 2007.
