Penn Station East Coast Serves up Signature Cheesesteak Subs and Fresh-Cut Fries at Great American Ball Park

Latest "Locally-Found" Restaurant to Serve Food at GABP

May 21, 2007 // Franchising.com // Reds fans will now be able to satisfy their craving for Penn Station East Coast Subs while enjoying the game at Great American Ball Park. Penn Station has just inked a deal with the Cincinnati Reds. Beginning May 4th, Cheesesteak Subs and Fresh-Cut Fries, the chain's best sellers, will be available at two concession kiosks within the ballpark.

"We have always wanted to serve Reds fans, but we were only willing to do this if we could be sure our meals served at the ballpark would be as fresh and delicious as those we serve in the restaurant," says Craig Dunaway, president of Penn Station, Inc. "The Reds worked diligently with us to ensure our needs for fresh food preparation were met."

Customers can be assured their Penn Station ball park fries will be cut fresh every game day, just like they are everyday in the restaurant. Not many ball park food vendors in the nation can promise that.

Penn Station is the latest in Cincinnati-founded restaurants and restaurant chains (including, LaRosas, Skyline Chili, Montgomery Inn) to have a presence in the Great American Ball Park. Penn Station is grateful to the Reds for their support of local businesses.

The venture is a joint effort between the Penn Station Cincinnati Ad Cooperative and Penn Station, Inc., the franchisor. "This is a great opportunity for us to expose more people to the quality and taste of Penn Station," says John Doyle, president of the Penn Station Cincinnati Ad Cooperative. "Our customers are fiercely loyal, and we believe if someone tries a Penn Station Sub while watching the Reds race for the pennant, they will be a customer for life."
