Print Three Signs National Deal With Xerox To Provide Personalized Digital Print Services Across Canada
June 27, 2007 // Franchising.com // TORONTO, - Xerox Canada today announced that Print Three Franchising Corporation, one of Canada's largest owner-operated printing networks, will implement dynamic publishing software from XMPie®, a standalone business unit of Xerox. The deal will allow Print Three to offer its customer base the ability to create custom digital printing, from personalized letters and brochures, to complete marketing campaigns.
In the first partnership of its kind in Canada, Toronto-based Print Three purchased XMPie PersonalEffect™ software for use at its head office location and XMPie uDirect® and uImage™ creative software for the franchisee network.
XMPie software is used for "variable data printing" (VDP) a technology that enables elements such as text, graphics and images to be automatically tailored to individual customer preferences on each printed piece. With XMPie, effective personalized communication becomes not only a high response rate proposition, but also a cost-effective business strategy with high return on investment.
"With Xerox's assistance, we can better help clients develop and execute marketing campaigns more relevant to their individual customers, regardless of the scope of the project," said Andrew Hrywnak, president, Print Three. "Xerox provided us with a solution that met the challenge of delivering custom printing services to two distinct customer groups, our national accounts and our small- and medium-sized business customers."
Recent studies¹ have shown that personalized printed communications encourage higher response rates, especially in direct mail campaigns. With XMPie, Print Three can take advantage of this trend and also offer customers the ability to communicate through multiple channels -- print, e-mail and the Web.
The Print Three model utilizing XMPie enables individual franchisees to work independently to create and produce unique VDP campaigns for local clients or to collaborate with the Toronto office, which maintains the PersonalEffect software and the ePower Online Web site for larger campaigns.
Print Three determined that the XMPie PersonalEffect platform could be used to integrate powerful variable data capabilities into its existing ePower Online site, so franchisees could continue to use a single, familiar, portal for all document types. Print Three's larger, corporate customers will have access to XMPie via its ePower Online web site.
"In today's competitive print environment, it is necessary for Canadian printers
to deliver added value to their customers by differentiating themselves in the marketplace," says Amato De Civita, vice president, Graphic Communications, Xerox Canada. "By merging the right business model, technology and workflow, Xerox has become a strategic partner to organizations like Print Three that constantly strive to provide the perfect combination of technology and service
