''Phones for Games'' Program from Play N Trade Gives In-Store Credit for Used Cell Phones

Customers Can Recycle Old Cell Phones for Video Games, Consoles, Accessories, Repair Services and More

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Play N Trade Franchise, Inc., one of the fastest-growing franchises worldwide, today announced the "Phones for Games" program that gives consumers in-store credit when they turn in their used cell phones. The credit can be used for any in-store product or service, including video games, consoles, accessories, disc and console repairs or tournament fees.

"This is a unique benefit for our customers, offering them a convenient way to recycle their old cell phones and receive store credit," said Ron Simpson, founder of Play N Trade. "Participating Play N Trade stores can now quickly appraise used cell phones, process trade-ins and instantly issue credit."

Customers who wish to turn in their old cell phone for store credit simply bring the phone into any participating Play N Trade. The amount of the credit is determined via a brief online questionnaire that rates the quality of the phone, including functionality, physical condition, carrier and accessories.

"Our 'Phones for Games' trade-in program is environmentally-friendly and makes it easy to responsibly recycle," Simpson said. "As members of the community we are very concerned about e-waste. Cell phones contain lead, cadmium and mercury that cannot be safely dumped in landfills, and this program is part of the solution."

The "Phones for Games" program is available at participating Play N Trade video game stores only in the U.S.
