Boston Pizza celebrates 10th store opening in Nova Scotia with Dartmouth Crossing location

Dartmouth, NS, July 20, 2007 - Boston Pizza International Inc., Canada's No. 1 casual dining chain, announces the grand opening of its 10th location in Nova Scotia at Dartmouth Crossing on Tuesday, July 24, 2007. The new Boston Pizza at 111 Shubie Drive is the second location in Dartmouth and will create more than 100 new jobs.

Boston Pizza Dartmouth Crossing is owned and operated by franchise team Rick VanPoelgeest, Brent Keddy and Donna Keeler. The general manager is Keith Johnson, who will manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

"We've had tremendous success with our restaurants in the Halifax area," says Rick VanPoelgeest. "Our second location in Dartmouth will serve the growing community and many visitors to the region with the same high quality standards Boston Pizza is known for."

Rick brings 20 years of experience with Boston Pizza to the new location and, together with his partners, owns seven other Boston Pizza restaurants including locations in Halifax, Dartmouth, Fredericton, Saint John, Moncton, and St. John's.

The staff of Boston Pizza Dartmouth Crossing will present a cheque to KidSport Nova Scotia from tips generated through six "dress rehearsals" at the grand opening party on Saturday, July 21st.

The restaurant will also raise funds for Kids Help Phone, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation through the Boston Pizza Foundation, which has raised $6.2 million for various Canadian charities.
