EVERETT, WA (JULY 2007) –Garlic Jim's Famous Gourmet Pizza®, the first and only "gourmet" carry out and delivery pizza chain, has been named as one of the Top Ten Fastest Growing Concepts for July, 2007 on RestaurantChains.net, in conjunction with the Food Service Report.. Candidate information is derived and calculated from a continual process of interviewing and verifying more than 7300 restaurant chain concepts, on a quarterly basis. Garlic Jim's was chosen based on ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬their growth percentage from April through July and sits as number six of ten of the fastest growing restaurant chains within North America.

Nominees are measured based on a set of parameters that each restaurant chain must exhibit to be considered for the top ten list. The chain must be a unique brand within the U.S. and Canada and have reliable information available regarding units and activity. Furthermore, the chain must have at least three operating units but no greater then 50, and new growth must be at least four units.

Tampa-based L&D Ventures announced a 100-store sub-franchise agreement for Florida and Puerto Rico on March 1, 2007, followed closely with the first Garlic Jim's bistro opening in the West Seattle Junction at the end of the same month. May brought the grand opening of the Snoqualmie, WA store and a new announcement that a sub-franchise agreement has been established with five southern states, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama to open 49 stores, with the first opening November 2007.
