New La Jolla Hot Spot Introduces $30 Prix Fixe Meal

Our new prix fixe menu not only allows guests the opportunity to sample the season's highest quality fish prepared in our simple but elegant fashion, but they also can choose from some of our hand selected fresh produce and artisan desserts," said Dave Bolton, Managing Partner of Blue Coral Seafood & Spirits in La Jolla.

Due to its ever-changing menu that evolves according to sea seasons and concentrates on simple, clean flavors, Blue Coral has quickly become one of the most respected seafood restaurants in San Diego since opening in January 2007. The new Sunday Prix Fixe Fins menu gives guests the opportunity to pick their passion and sample the best that the sea has to offer.

To start, diners are given a choice of two salads: Five baby greens with hearts of palm, cherry tomatoes with white balsamic vinaigrette; or a traditional Caesar salad with chopped romaine leaves, ciabatta croutons, white anchovies and classic Caesar dressing. For the main course, three choices of Fins are offered: Salmon filet, simply grilled with a béarnaise buerre blanc sauce; Petrale sole, golden battered and sautéed in chive butter with toasted almonds; or grilled Mahi Mahi, seasoned with alaea sea salt and served with lemon caper aioli. To accompany the main course, guests are invited to choose from three of Blue Coral's enticing side dishes. The Fuji apple and blue cheese slaw, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, or grilled asparagus are the perfect complement to any of the fins being offered. To complete this delicious feast, Blue Coral is offering a choice of molten chocolate cake or fresh tangerine crème brulee.

The cost for the Sunday Prix Fixe Fins meal is $30 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.
