NAVIS PACK & SHIP FRANCHISE MOVES ITS RETAIL TO FOCUS ON COMMERCIAL

DENVER, CO (Sept. 6, 2007) — Navis Pack & Ship makes its move. With a goal to own the commercial specialty packaging and shipping category, Navis has sold its retail-based franchises to Postal Annex+. The company will focus exclusively on building out its successful warehouse-based franchise where royalty revenue is increasing by an average of 60 percent per year within its territories in North America, while same-store sales on average grew by 32 percent over the last year.
"With its retail orientation and strong history, we are pleased to pass the torch of our legacy business and franchise operators to such a capable organization as Postal Annex+," said Nathan Bell, Chairman of the Navis board of directors. "We are confident they will be in good hands."
Navis Pack & Ship is a leader in providing commercial, industrial and residential customers with packaging and transportation solutions for difficult-to-ship items. Navis will reinvest income from the sale of its 68 Handle With Care Packaging Store franchises to ramp up its aggressive franchise growth strategy, fast-track advances in technology and increase operational and marketing support to its franchise operators.
"We have made a strategic decision to invest in our Navis Pack & Ship commercial business model based on its strong growth and increasing demand in the commercial sector, " said Ben Blakeley, CEO and President of Navis. "Fueled by the opening of new units throughout North America, Navis Pack & Ship royalty revenue has grown an average 60 percent per year in each of the last four years. Same-store sales growth also is robust, increasing by an average of 32 percent over the past two years."
"By focusing on one brand and one business model, Navis can invest in support, infrastructure and marketing that will enable our franchise operators to capitalize on the strong demand for their services and more rapidly build out our system in North America," said Blakeley. "More than just a strategic move for Navis, we believe this is a positive opportunity for our retail franchise operators. Postal Annex+ is second largest mail and parcel franchise in the country and is committed to moving the Packaging Store brand to the next level," added Blakeley.
The company's goal is to complete a network of 260 Navis Pack & Ship locations across the United States and 30 in Canada in four years. Navis Pack & Ship locations currently exist in 68 markets throughout North America.
Over the years Navis has carved out its niche in the packaging and shipping industry through exceptional packaging expertise and high service standards. Navis boasts a 99.8 percent damage-free delivery record on items it packs.
