TWO NEW WEED MAN FRANCHISES UP AND RUNNING

The owners of two new Weed Man franchises recently completed their twelve-day training in Toronto with franchise owner Turf Holdings, Inc. The franchisees are back in their United States territories and chalking up new customers.

One of the franchises is in North Carolina. Lonnie Ogg's dealership covers Salisbury, N.C. The second new franchise, owned by brothers Tracy and Scott Hivnor, is in Norwalk, Ohio.

The newest aspect of dealer training is on Weed Man's recently launched proprietary software. Dubbed WEMMS, franchisees' entire businesses are run off the software. Everything from customer contact, marketing, route scheduling, special client requests, service contracts, accounts receivable and compact business reports are produced by the WEMMS program.

"What is unique about this software is that it was developed from software originally written by a franchisee," explains Don Dankowich, president of Turf Supplies USA, a division of Turf Holdings, Inc. "Because it was written by someone who knows the business inside and out, the software not only is user friendly, but it left no stone unturned for efficiently running one of our franchises. It addresses every conceivable aspect of running a Weed Man dealership."

Dankowich thinks the new software will not only help sell more franchises, but will also help to ensure the success of all franchises in the Weed Man system. "The WEMMS program automates each franchise," added Dankowich. "It is a cost effective, quick way for our franchisees to accelerate success in their territories. That's a true competitive advantage."

Weed Man currently has 109 operating licenses in the United States which cover more than 210 territories. The company expects to have 235 franchise territories by the end of the year with total sales reaching $33 million.
