Bear Stearns Hires Lee Stettner as Global Head of Equity Capital Markets

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. announced today that Lee Stettner will join the firm as a senior managing director and global head of Equity Capital Markets. In this newly created position, Mr. Stettner will play a key leadership role in the firm's Strategic Finance Group where he will focus on further developing the firm's capital markets product offerings.

Mr. Stettner has over seventeen years experience in the industry and has led equity and equity-linked transactions for more than one hundred companies during his career.

Mr. Stettner will join Bear Stearns from Deutsche Bank, where he was Head of Healthcare Investment Banking for the Americas. Previously, he served as Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets for the Americas at Deutsche Bank and spearheaded ECM coverage for healthcare and real estate/gaming/lodging.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Stettner helped build the Equity Capital Markets franchise at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he covered primarily the healthcare and business service sectors. He also held positions at Morgan Stanley and Dean Witter. Mr. Stettner holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania.
