Burger King Corporation's HAVE IT YOUR WAY(R) Foundation Accepts $4.5 Million Grant from the BURGER KING(R) McLamore Foundation

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 2007--Burger King Corp. (NYSE:BKC) announced today that the HAVE IT YOUR WAY(R) Foundation has accepted a $4.5 million grant from the BURGER KING(R) McLamore Foundation, designated for funding of a scholarship program in the name of Burger King Corp.'s co-founder, James W. McLamore.

The HAVE IT YOUR WAY(R) Foundation intends to continue the BK(R) Scholarship Program, which is currently operated by the BURGER KING(R) McLamore Foundation. The program is designed for highly motivated high school students. Eligibility is based on academic performance and financial need; some scholarships are available only to students that are part of the BURGER KING(R) system.

Anne Chwat, president of the HAVE IT YOUR WAY(R) Foundation said, "At the heart of the BURGER KING(R) brand is a commitment to making a difference in the communities where we live and work. We are thrilled to be able to expand our support of education and scholarships with this additional funding, and we thank the Burger King(R) McLamore Foundation for their generosity."

The HAVE IT YOUR WAY(R) Foundation expects to award approximately 700 scholarships annually in the United States and Canada.
