Winners Exemplify High Standards in Plumbing and HVAC Sectors

(Clockwork) recently honored several franchisees for their outstanding achievements as part of the company's 2007 Congress. The annual event, held this year on Oct. 4-6 in Phoenix, AZ, brings together over 450 contractors and business owners from Clockwork's various franchises to learn best practices for consistency in operations and performance and the systems and tools necessary to take each franchise to the next level of success. The awards event capped off a highly successful year by honoring top performers in its One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating (One Hour), Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (Benjamin Franklin) and Mister Sparky Electric (Mister Sparky) franchises.

Clockwork recognizes franchisees for their excellence in several categories including:

• Franchisee of the Year

• Fastest-Growing Franchise

• Employer of Choice

• Transformation (year over year improvement)

• Spirit Award (outstanding community service)

• Hero Award

The top honor of "Franchisee of the Year" goes to franchisee that best demonstrates his or her ability to run their business at an exceptionally high level as well as show significant growth in annual sales.

The 2007 "Franchise of the Year" winner was:

• Mike Fowler, owner of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (Charlotte, NC)

The 2007 "Fastest Growing Franchise" award winner was:

• Mike Fowler, owner of Dan King's One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating, Charlotte, NC (178% year over year growth)

Clockwork also recognizes franchisees for their excellence in employee training, recruitment and retention with an "Employer of Choice" award. Employee satisfaction and retention are among Clockwork's tenets for best business practices, and the company recognizes those franchisees that provide additional or exceptional incentives to their employees. Examples of such benefits include paid training, tool reimbursement programs, company vehicle availability and supplemented childcare programs.

The 2007 "Employer of Choice" award went to:

• Chris and Linda Stanfield, owners of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (Gilbert, AZ) "The tremendous growth we've seen here at Clockwork this year is due to the success and outstanding performance of the men and women in our franchise community," said Tab Hunter, president of franchise operations at Clockwork Home Services, Inc. Awards were also presented to franchisees for their exceptional performance in community service (Spirit Award for community service) and for improvements made to their business in a 12-month period (Transformation Award).

• Rick and Michelle Moore, Mister Sparky Electric (Camp Springs, MD)

The "Transformation Award" was given to:

• Francis Pass, Pass One Hour Heating & Air (Herrin, IL)

This year, a special "Hero Award" was given out to a member of the Clockwork Home Services community in honor of his brave, quick-thinking and heroic actions to help save a car accident victim.

The "Hero Award" was given to:

• Dave Kempker, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (Jefferson City, MO)
