Former Paramedics Are "Going to the Dogs" as They Embark on a New Career to Help Katy's Unruly Dogs Learn "Petiquette"

Former paramedics Curtiss and Melba Lanham are "going to the dogs" as they embark on a new career to help Katy's unruly dogs learn "Petiquette."

Houston, TX, November 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- They may not arrive in an ambulance with lights flashing, but their Expedition with flashy graphics of Jim Burwell's Petiquette and "Training for the Perfect Pooch" is on its way to rescue owners with in home dog training for unruly dogs and wound up puppies.

Local residents Curtiss and Melba Lanham have traded in their careers and taken their passion for helping and educating people and are using that same passion to educate owners and their dogs.

With Petiquette's 20 plus years of proven in home dog training methodologies behind them, Curtiss and Melba are well equipped to handle any dog problem the more than 120,000 households and close to 100,000 dogs in Katy can provide.

The Lanhams know Jim Burwell through their work with American Brittany Rescue. Jim had helped them with one particular rescue that had some major behavioral issues. As they watched this dog begin to change and become a better part of their household, they saw what a difference good in home dog training, along with owner education of how dog's think, can make for a peaceful, rewarding and enduring relationship with a dog.

A week after their work with Jim, the Lanham's received an email from Jim about his new venture, Jim Burwell's Petiquette, in-home dog training franchise. The light bulb went on as they realized this in-home dog training franchise would afford them the opportunity to turn their passion for dogs into a career.

"This is a very personal franchise. You're not dealing with a big conglomerate... you're dealing with people who have done this day in and day out and proven this method over time. I would recommend this in home dog training franchise business to anyone who has a passion for dogs and an equal passion for wanting to educate people and help enrich their relationships with their dogs. The Petiquette training was extremely comprehensive. It gave us the knowledge to not only understand the way dogs think, but the actual hands on experience of dealing with obedience and behavior in dogs so we were ready to start immediately and confidently with our professional in home dog training business," Curtiss said.

The Lanhams offer a variety of in-home dog training programs to give Katy area dog owners "Training for The Perfect Pooch" including puppy starter lessons that cover training techniques "from nose to tail", obedience training and dog behavior training that addresses an assortment of ongoing behavior problems.
