Noodles Development, LP Announces The Development Of A New Area Director Program

November 16, 2007 // Franchising.com // Scottsdale, Ariz. - The founders of Noodles Development, LP today announced the official introduction of an Area Director Program to their business profile, signifying an important step in the growth of the Nothing but Noodles brand across the country.

"Throughout the introduction of our new program, potential Area Directors will be able to see the various benefits of joining us in this venture," said Nothing but Noodles Co-Founder Todd Welker, "such as the sharing of all franchise fees and royalties."

The growth process Noodles is following involves the opening of multiple restaurants within a defined area pursuant to an Area Development Agreement. The agreement allows an individual, husband/wife team, partners, or a company to have control over an exclusive, protected area, meaning no other developer(s) can open Nothing but Noodles restaurants within the restricted area throughout the time of the development schedule. Given the flexibility offered by the franchisor and the various options involved in this program, there are many choices that directors are able to make, including the shape and size of their particular market.

Capitalization varies and is dependent upon the size of the development territory and the number of restaurants necessary for market coverage. The development fee and initial fees vary depending on the size and scope of the development agreement as well. As for duties required of the Area Director, minimum responsibilities include the recruitment of new franchise owners within his or her territory and providing various forms of support and assistance to franchise owners in the area of site selection. In terms of compensation, the Area Director will receive a portion of all franchise fees and a percentage of the royalties collected from the stores in his or her territory. While directors do become, in essence, a smaller version of the franchisor, Noodles Development, LP still overlooks general business practices and continuously provides necessary training and instruction.
