A Newly Remodeled Bathroom for the Holidays

Handyman Matters offers a deserving senior citizen the chance to win a bathroom makeover

LAKEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--There is always that one special senior citizen in the local neighborhood who has a kind heart and warm spirit, but unfortunately, finds it challenging to get handy work done around his or her home. Well, in an effort to address this with the elderly community, Handyman Matters is encouraging people to nominate their favorite senior citizen this holiday season for an opportunity to receive a complimentary bathroom remodel.

"It is very important to us at Handyman Matters to do all we can to give back to the communities that have supported us – especially when it comes to our senior citizens," said Colette Bell, CEO of Handyman Matters Franchise Company corporate offices. "The elderly men and women in our neighborhoods have contributed so much to our society. It is only right, and in fact our responsibility, to help them in any way that we can."

People are asked to nominate a deserving senior in their community. Nominations are being accepted through December 31 and one winner will be chosen January 14. According to Bell, the winner's remodel project will take place in January or February. The custom bathroom remodel may include items such as wheelchair accessible bathtub and handrails, Bell added.

Founded on principles that include giving back to the communities from which franchisees live and work, Handyman Matters provides a wide range of services for residential and commercial properties – both small repairs and larger remodels. Since the company sees the senior citizen community as an integral part of all communities, it has continually made efforts to helping them. In fact, Handyman Matters offers a program called Aging in Place, designated to help older homeowners maintain their properties.

The bathroom remodel giveaway is valued up to $15,000 in labor and materials, according to Bell. Nominees must be at least 65 years of age.

Nominations can be made by contacting your local Handyman Matters, by visiting www.handymanmatters.com, or by mailing in their nomination to Handyman Matters, Senior Remodel Giveaway, 12567 W. Cedar Dr., #150, Lakewood, CO 80228.
