Dixie Lee Kick Starts Expansion, Opens New Franchise in Montreal

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - December 6, 2007) - Dixie Lee International Industries, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: DLII), parent company of the 40-year-old "Dixie Lee" brand name, with more than 80 franchised restaurants open, announced today that it has opened a franchise in Montreal. This is the first step in an aggressive expansion plan for Montreal.

"We are particularly excited about our expansion in the Montreal area," says Joe Murano, Dixie Lee's CEO. "With a master franchisee signed and a vision of more units soon to follow, Dixie Lee is sure to become a household name in this area in the next few years."

Master franchisee Alain Ouellette, of Montreal, opened his first location in Mascouche, a northern suburb of Montreal. The opening marks the first of many restaurants the franchisee plans on opening within the few years. Containing approximately 5,000 square feet and 125 seats, the new Dixie Lee Restaurant is currently one of the largest stores in the system.

"Dixie Lee is the perfect chain to expand in this area -- great food, great branding, extremely simply to operate. I'm already hearing that people are driving 60 miles to eat the chicken," said Alain Ouellette, Franchisee. "I eventually plan to open other locations in Montreal as well."

About Dixie Lee

The Dixie Lee brand name started with the opening of the first Dixie Lee Chicken & Seafood restaurant in 1964 in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Building on an old Louisiana chicken recipe, the Dixie Lee name has grown to include subsidiary and affiliated companies accounting for more than 80 branded restaurants open and more than 20 in development. Dixie Lee restaurant concepts include full service, fast casual and take-out. Dixie Lee International Industries, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: DLII) is currently developing its newest franchised concept, the classic "Dixie Lee Diner," a 60 to 80 seat stainless steel diner reminiscent of the nostalgic 1940s and 1950s family diners featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dixie Lee International Industries, Inc. is expanding through both corporate-owned and franchised restaurant development throughout North America and abroad. www.dixieleeusa.com
