CENTURY 21 Millennium Inc Celebrates 10 Great Years

December 14, 2007 // Franchising.com // - Brampton, ON - CENTURY 21 Canada is pleased to congratulate CENTURY 21 Millennium Inc. on their 10 year anniversary. Joanne Evans and Martin Minda, Broker owners of the company, hosted the 10 year celebration gala at the beautiful Terrace on the Green restaurant in Brampton, ON.

The elegant evening was held on Thursday, October 25 with 110 guests and highlighted by a performance from accomplished opera singer, Tonia Cianciulli who is also Evans daughter.

"In recognition of previous company owner, Peter McDermott's retirement and his leadership since the opening of CENTURY 21 Millennium Inc., we were proud to present him with an acknowledgement plaque at our anniversary gala," says Evans. "We also recognized 19 of our sales representatives who joined us in the first year of business with award plaques and gold Movado watches to mark the occasion."

In addition to taking the opportunity to recognize long term service from their staff, Evans and Minda also used the evening to support individuals who have taken upon a philosophy of giving, one which is fostered by the company as a whole.

"Kathy Switzer, a sales representative from our company, actually travelled to Kenya in May to set up a school with our support. Martin and I were thrilled to present to her at the gala, a cheque to buy all the land needed to build a school for the "Tender Feet" Children Centre in Kenya," says Evans.

CENTURY 21 Millennium Inc. has long been committed to the sprit of giving and is an active supporter of the local community. Each year the company sets up scholarships for three local students who face financial difficulties and makes it possible for them to attend university. Staff also donates money, time and effort to the "Family Christmas Fund" which was established by Evans and McDermott when the office opened in 1997.

The fund has since been able to supply Christmas necessities to families in need -- from three families ten years ago to 24 families last year.

"Martin and I want to provide a supportive environment that helps our staff with more than their jobs. We want to help them with their lives! We believe it is a great honor to serve others and we look forward to the next great 10 years!" adds Evans.

Brian Rushton, Senior Vice President, Franchise Sales and Development of CENTURY 21 Canada, was also in attendance and delivered his congratulations from stage. "Peter McDermott has lead this organization to the success it now enjoys and I want to thank him for his leadership and wish him a wonderful and very well deserved retirement. We are also delighted to have Joanne and Martin step into their new roles as owners of CENTURY 21 Millennium Inc.
