Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Continues Indiana Expansion With Opening of West Carmel Location

Grand opening to benefit the Carmel Fire Department's CLOTHE-A-CHILD and food basket assistance program through Burgers With A Heart(R) fundraiser

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Jan. 7 // PRNewswire-FirstCall // -- Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. (Red Robin) will open its sixth Indiana restaurant in West Carmel on Monday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. The West Carmel Red Robin(R) restaurant is located at 9965 North Michigan Road, in the West Carmel Marketplace. Red Robin serves high-quality gourmet burgers, appetizers, entrees, salads and beverages in a kid- and family-friendly atmosphere.

As part of its grand opening celebrations, Red Robin will host a Burgers With A Heart(R) fundraiser to benefit the Carmel Fire Department. Through the event, Red Robin will donate 50 cents from every gourmet burger sold during grand opening week, Jan 14 to 20, to the Carmel Fire Department. The money raised will help support the Carmel Fire Department's CLOTHE-A-CHILD and food basket assistance program.

The fire department uses monetary donations and volunteers to assist in helping children pick out clothing at the Carmel Meijer Store for their CLOTHE-A-CHILD program which is held the first two weeks of December each year. In addition, volunteers help deliver food baskets and gifts to families in need throughout the Carmel and Clay Township areas.

"On behalf of the Carmel Fire Department, I would like to thank Red Robin for choosing to support us during its opening week celebration," said Keith Freer, public education officer for the Carmel Fire Department. "This donation will help ensure local children and families in need will be able to have winter clothing and food for the holidays this year."

The 6,421 square foot West Carmel Red Robin(R) restaurant will seat 208 guests, and will be 100 percent smoke-free. Red Robin has five additional restaurants in Indiana including three corporate-owned locations in Fort Wayne, Merrillville and Plainfield, and two restaurants operating under franchise or license agreements in Schererville and Valparaiso.
