Sweet Peppers Deli Enters Georgia and Adds More Territories in Tennessee

COLUMBUS, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mitchell Bell and Vick Etheridge are proud to announce plans to open multiple locations of Sweet Peppers Deli in Tennessee and Georgia. The first location will likely be in Cleveland, Tennessee in Bradley County, with an opening date slated for late summer or early fall 2008. Mr. Bell will be joined by his son Frank in developing multiple locations in North Georgia (Walker, Catoosa & Whitfield Counties) and Southeast Tennessee (Hamilton & Bradley Counties). "We are eager to bring this new deli concept to the communities we call home," stated Mitchell Bell, originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee. The father-son team plans to actively manage their new restaurants on a daily basis.

Peppers Deli features a menu of salads, soups, signature sandwiches, panini (Italian pressed sandwiches) and wraps presented in a unique atmosphere including neon signs, bright colors, free wifi, patio dining and an open and airy layout. Sweet Peppers Deli offers a combination of counter and table service. Customers will enter the restaurant and place their order at the front counter, then receive full service from the wait staff once they are seated.

"Peppers growth in the Southeast is exciting for us to watch," stated John Bean, of Sweet Peppers Franchise Systems, LLC. "We are always glad when we can help someone bring our concept to their home area to develop and know that the Bells will do an excellent job of increasing our presence in Tennessee and opening our first restaurants in Georgia," stated Bean.

The Sweet Peppers Deli concept started in 1997 when North Mississippi Restaurateurs, John, Bernard and Myrrl Bean along with Robert Fort of Columbus, Mississippi joined forces with Robin Fant, creator of Bulldog Deli, in Starkville, Mississippi. Bulldog Deli, located close to Mississippi State University, served as the prototype for the first Peppers Deli. Currently there are 9 Delis located in Mississippi and Alabama with a 10th location opening in Dyersburg, Tennessee in January 2008. Counties are currently under development in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina & South Carolina.
