Sweet Peppers Deli Announces More Locations in Mississippi and Alabama

COLUMBUS, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ken and Brittany West, husband and wife team of Wild West Delis announce plans to open their first location of Sweet Peppers Deli in Laurel, Mississippi, sometime in mid-April with plans to open two more locations in Mobile County (Alabama) soon afterwards. With a combined 29 years experience in the restaurant industry the Wests are excited to open their Sweet Peppers Deli. "We love the food business and have always worked in it. We enjoy interacting with our guests and Sweet Peppers Deli allows us an opportunity to do that easily," stated Brittany West. Both have worked in multiple positions within different restaurants including everything from washing dishes to managing multiple restaurant locations. "With a solid background in the restaurant industry, we are ready to open our own restaurant here in Laurel," added Ken West.

Peppers Deli features a menu of salads, soups, signature sandwiches, panini (Italian pressed sandwiches) and wraps presented in a unique atmosphere including neon signs, bright colors, free wifi, patio dining and an open and airy layout. Sweet Peppers Deli offers a combination of counter and table service. Customers will enter the restaurant and place their order at the front counter, then receive full service from the wait staff once they are seated.

The Sweet Peppers Deli concept started in 1997 when North Mississippi Restaurateurs, John, Bernard and Myrrl Bean along with Robert Fort of Columbus, Mississippi joined forces with Robin Fant, creator of Bulldog Deli, in Starkville, Mississippi. Bulldog Deli, located close to Mississippi State University, served as the prototype for the first Peppers Deli. Currently there are 10 Delis located in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. Counties are currently under development in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina & South Carolina.
