"We Buy Ugly Houses" company enters California to help ugly situations
January 24, 2008 // Franchising.com // DALLAS – HomeVestors® of America, Inc., the company famous for its "We Buy Ugly Houses"® billboards, has announced that it will begin awarding franchises in Riverside, Calif. (San Bernardino and Riverside counties), effective immediately.
"Our expansion into California is in direct response to the demand for our services that we already know exists there," said John P. Hayes, president and CEO of HomeVestors. "Our brand has become so well-known across the U.S. that we routinely get calls from parts of California where we don't even have a franchise. And now that's about to change."
Ranked as one of the fastest-growing companies in the real estate industry, HomeVestors is the only national franchise that specializes in buying, rehabbing and selling single-family homes. The company currently has more than 260 franchise locations serving 35 states that have purchased more than 30,000 homes.
"Leads have increased tremendously for our services," Hayes noted, "not only for assistance out of ugly houses with costly repairs, but also for help against rising mortgages and other unplanned ugly situations."
Jason Killough, director of franchise development for HomeVestors, said prospects in the State of California have already expressed an interest in purchasing a HomeVestors franchise. Applicants for a HomeVestors franchise must have a minimum of $200,000 in cash or lines of credit and pay a $49,000 franchise fee. Candidates who are awarded a franchise attend two weeks of business training at HomeVestors' corporate headquarters before opening their local operations.
Prospective franchise owners can contact Killough at (888) 701-3888.
