ComputerWorld and Infrastructure Management World both recently honored the company's IT department for its proactive efforts in ensuring the safety of its customers' personal electronic data.

In June, the ComputerWorld Honors Program presented Accor NA with a Laureate in the Category of Finance Insurance and Real Estate as a pioneer in Credit Card Protection. Each year, the Computerworld Honors Leadership Awards are given to those "who have been instrumental in revolutionizing the use of information technology." In honoring the IT department, the committee cited its deployment of RSA enterprise-wide encryption technology, which allows for automatic credit card information encryption.
In September, Infrastructure Management World honored Accor NA as a Finalist in the Category of Security Compliance and Risk Management. The Annual "Best Practices in Infrastructure Management" Awards Program "acknowledges excellence among users of infrastructure management technologies."
