Local Educator Seeks New Ways to Support Westminster Community
January 31, 2008 // Franchising.com // Westminster, MD - Brenda and Leon Conley, Jr. are open for business. The couple's new PostalAnnex+, located in the 140 Village Shopping Center in Westminster, celebrated their Grand Opening on January 21, 2008.
"Our first day was exciting," Leon said. "We were able to meet people in our community and work out the details of our new business."
Dr. Brenda Conley is a retired educator who helped found the teacher education program at the University of Maryland University College. She has retained her ties to the academic community, acting as an educational consultant in the area. Leon also retired recently from his work at General Motors Corporation after 36 years.
The Conley's sons, Kraig and Leon III are also lending a hand in their parents' new business. Kraig has experience in marketing and sales while Leon III has experience in other packing and shipping companies.
"We hope that our business will become an integral part of our community and offer specialty services to schools in our area," Brenda said. "We will be out in the community sharing and offering resources and support wherever we can."
The Conley's PostalAnnex+ is a one-stop shop, providing UPS and FedEx shipping options, gift items, notary, mailboxes and copy services.
The new Westminster PostalAnnex+ is located at 592 Jermor LaneWestminster. Store hours are 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday and Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
