William Tate Joins Spherion as President of Staffing Services

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 10 // PRNewswire-FirstCall // -- Spherion Corporation (NYSE: SFN), a leading provider of recruiting, staffing and workforce solutions, today announced that William Tate has joined the Company as president of staffing services. Tate reports directly to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer William Grubbs.

In this role, Tate is responsible for the management and operations of the Spherion Staffing Services Group, which provides flexible, temp-to-hire and direct hire administrative and clerical, light industrial and contact center recruiting and placement services to a wide range of clients.

With more than 26 years of experience, Tate joins Spherion from Manpower Inc., an employment services firm, where he served as vice president and general manager for the company's U.S. professional division. Prior to that position, Tate held leadership roles at Moore North America, where he was vice president and general sales manager, responsible for all sales operations within the U.S. He began his career at Uarco Incorporated.

Tate received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan and completed a number of advanced sales and management programs. He is a member of the Foundation Board Directors for the College of Lake County in Illinois.
