March 14, 2008 // Franchising.com // Arlington, VA.— Noodles & Company, the quick-casual, globally inspired eatery that serves freshly sautéed Asian, Mediterranean and American noodle bowls, soups and salads like Japanese Pan Noodles and Penne Rosa and Wisconsin Mac & Cheese, will open Friday, March 14 at 4238 Wilson Blvd. in Ballston Commons Mall.

Continuing its tradition of nourishing and inspiring individuals in the communities it serves, Noodles & Company has partnered with Arlington Public Schools to raise money for Washington & Lee High School's new fitness center, which is schedule to open in February 2009.

"We reached out to Noodles & Company to help fund our new fitness center because we share a commitment to good balance," said Josh Shapiro, Washington & Lee High School's football coach, physical education and health teacher. "This event will make it possible for us to purchase modernized fitness equipment which will directly enhance our student's lives. We couldn't be happier about our new relationship with Noodles & Company and look forward to a long and healthy partnership!"

"We're delighted to join the neighborhood, raise money and help build community awareness and support for Washington & Lee High School's new fitness center," said Kevin Reddy, president and CEO of Noodles & Company. The 4,400-square-foot restaurant is the company's second location in Arlington.

Noodles & Company's Good Balance education program helps guests make tailored food choices to suit their needs by sharing nutritional information and suggesting how to control calories, fat and sodium, increase daily fiber intake, dine vegetarian, manage allergies, achieve good balance for kids and more. Additional information can be found online in the For Your Health section at www.noodles.com.

At Noodles & Company, there are no freezers, no microwaves, and no can openers – only fresh vegetables, grilled chicken, beef, shrimp or tofu and sautéed pastas, all prepared to order in minutes.
