Grand Opening for 1st Michigan Extra Innings Location Set for April 5th in Shelby Township

March 31, 2008 // // Middleton, MA – The Detroit Tigers may be hosting opening day next week, but local baseball and softball fanatics can get a double dose when Extra Innings debuts its first Michigan facility a few days later. Extra Innings, America's leader of indoor baseball and softball training centers, will host a grand opening in Shelby Township on Saturday April 5th from 11:00 AM-7:00 PM at 51162 Filomena Drive.

Visitors to Extra Innings that day will be able to try out the facility's state of the art batting cages and tunnels for free and have a chance to receive 10% off one of their "Player Pack" programs. Raffles will take place throughout the day with exciting prizes, and guests will also enjoy complimentary pizza. The Extra Innings training staff will be on hand offering professional instruction for baseball and softball players in attendance.

Extra Innings, with over 30 locations nationwide, sets itself apart from the competition with its unique triple threat of training, instruction, and pro shop. Extra Innings Shelby Township will be the premier indoor baseball and softball training facility in Macomb County, dedicated to fulfilling the needs of players of all ages and abilities. Their state of the art, year round, indoor facility will have over 17,000 square feet of training area with 24 foot ceilings, 6 multi-use indoor batting and pitching tunnels, 3 coin-operated batting cages, a fully stocked pro shop, private circuit training area, and private birthday area.
