Statewide Effort Relies on Community Donations to Benefit Women in Need

LANSING, Mich., April 28 // PRNewswire // -- TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(R) is hoping to bring additional smiles across the region this week by partnering with local woman's shelters across the state to provide Mother's Day gifts for their current residents. All 20 of the Company's Michigan locations will collect donated gift items today through May 11 for the new community program it calls "Movers for Moms."

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(R) is calling on community neighbors to help fill one of its moving trucks with robes, slippers, soaps or other creature comforts to brighten Mother's Day for women who may not expect a gift this year. Essential items such as food and toiletries will be accepted as well. No gift is too small or insignificant.

The collection benefits women at local chapters of the YWCA in Detroit, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, as well as those at The Women's Resource Center of Traverse City, The Bay Area Women's Shelter of Bay City, The Aware Shelter in Jackson and The City Rescue Mission in Lansing.
