Milex/Mr. Transmission Goes Green

Harmony, FL - A local auto transmission/repair franchisee is the first of it's kind to go green. Radica and Ray Pancham, owners of the Mr. Transmission/Milex Complete Auto Care franchise on Orange Blossom Trail and Oak Ridge Road in Orlando received certification through the city's Orlando Green Business program.

To get the designation, the business was required to put all employees though a free city-run training program showing workers how to properly store waste engine and other fluids so they don't escape into storm drains that flow into local lakes.

The franchise is also required to be inspected on an ongoing basis to, look for leaks in the storage drums and to be sure nothing is seeping in the ground water.
