Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries Announces National Franchising Opportunities
May 05, 2008 // Franchising.com // - Alexandria, VA — Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries recently announced a partnership with Alexandria, VA based franchise developers, Fransmart, and began ramping up a national franchise expansion plan. Fransmart, the company that helped launch the ultra successful Five Guys Burgers & Fries, will help Boardwalk reach its lofty goal of having over 1,000 stores in development nationwide by 2013. Boardwalk, already well on its way to reaching that number, recently sealed a master franchise deal for Georgia.
"Our concept is a hit because we offer great food at an inexpensive price, in a clean and fun atmosphere," says Dave DiFerdinando President and CEO of Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries. "We have everything a customer wants and a savvy investor needs."
In April, Boardwalk kicked off their expansion efforts by welcoming Boardwalk Investment Group, who will bring up to 50 restaurants to Georgia—operating three restaurants themselves and franchising the rest. The Boardwalk Investment Group, also a master franchisee with Dagwood's Sandwich Shoppes, a restaurant brand built around the famous cartoon strip, plan to open their first company owned unit in Atlanta by the end of 2008.

Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries brings the boardwalk experience to life, providing customers with made to order burgers and fries in a fun, beach themed atmosphere. Already four stores strong, the concept is growing rapidly with over 50 stores already in development nationwide. Boardwalk restaurants average 2,000 square feet plus patio space and seat 25 to 60 people.
