CiCi's Pizza Honors Top Performers at Annual Conference

May 06, 2008 // Franchising.com // (Coppell, Texas)...CiCi's Pizza recently celebrated the achievements of their team members by recognizing them for their outstanding performance at their annual conference. More than 400 CiCi's franchisees, general managers and mangers gathered to enjoy the festivities with their families at the Red Rock Resort, Casino and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada.

CiCi's team members and their families were entertained by a cutting edge video presentations, produced in-house by members of CiCi's marketing team. Craig Moore, president of CiCi's Pizza, and Kyle Smith, Director of Operations, personally presented each winner with an award reflecting 21 categories. Intermixed with the award ceremony were theatrical performances led by key senior management members leveraging CiCi's brand voice. Highlights of the conference included a Cirque De Soleil troupe performance and jet ski give-away.

"We are pleased to recognize these extraordinary franchisees and managers who propelled CiCi's Pizza to an outstanding year in 2007. Their efforts in creating a great environment for our employees and consistently providing an excellent dining experience for our guests have contributed to our success in the quick casual industry," said Moore. "Their exceptional performance has helped us gain momentum as we continue our aggressive expansion plan that will take us coast to coast this year."

The conference culminated with an awards ceremony where top accolades were presented to:

  • Operator of the Year- Quinn Newhall, Denver, CO
    This award is the highest honor presented each year within CiCi's. It is voted on by the system's franchisees and recognizes the operator that executed at the highest operational level, while being a great example of the CiCi's "Guest First" culture, "WOW'ing" guests, building sales and developing their entire team from top to bottom during 2007.

  • Manager of the Year- Adam Groth, Aurora, CO

  • MC Driver WOW Story of the Year- Bob Smith, Dallas, TX

  • CiCi's Legendary Operator Award:

    • Steve Haskins in the Fort Worth, Texas market
    • Tommy & Tami Marlin in the San Antonio, Texas market



The Legendary Operator Award is based on outstanding character, class and contribution to the success and growth of this brand. In addition, each honoree has developed managers that have gone on to be successful franchisees within the system.
