MARS launches 13 new operations in April 2008

May 06, 2008 // Franchising.com // GRAND PRAIRIE , TX - MARS International welcomed thirteen new operators in April.

Sidney Allman (NC) worked in the automotive industry as a technician for a major car manufacturer before joining MARS. He plans to grow his business to add an employee in the future. A North Carolina native, Sid enjoys boating, yard work, and spending time with wife Cortney.

Cary Bownds (KS) worked in the sporting goods industry before joining MARS. He is a part of Bill Koontz's team, with plans to expand and see where it takes him. Cary enjoys motorcross, fishing and hunting.

Brian Faehner (OH) was the auto body director at a technical institute before joining MARS. He looks forward to expanding rapidly and allowing himself more time with his family. Brian and wife Renette have been married for 10 years, have a daughter, Bailey (2), and are expecting their second child.

Nathan Gayle (OR) was in the auto lending business prior to MARS. He plans to service his local area and eventually grow into a team with a mobile retail operation. Nate enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his kids doing anything athletic. He and wife Laura have two children, Lanae (13) and Alyssa (9).

Russ Garceau (TN) was a general manager in pest control before MARS. After his first year, he plans to model his business after the Area Development program. Russ enjoys church, golf, classic car restoration, and spending time with wife Suzzette, and kids Chelsea (20), Garrett (13) and Ashley (11).

Randy Harris (AR) was in auto finance and remarketing prior to joining MARS. He plans to grow his business to have two or three employees so he can be more available for his family. Randy enjoys watching football, hunting and play golf with his family, wife Tracy and son Jordan (10).

Charles Herpy Jr. (OH) worked in the rubber industry for 22 years prior to MARS. He plans to grow slowly and hopes to open a retail store in two years. Chuck enjoys hunting deer, fishing and landscaping, as well as vacationing with his significant other, Helen.

Robb Johnson (IA) was a warehouse supervisor prior to discovering MARS. Working in his hometown, Robb plans to expand his business to include a couple of employees. A volunteer fire-fighter, he enjoys riding his Harley, restoring an old pickup and attending his kids' wrestling meets and ball games. Robb and wife Annette have two kids, Kylie (15) and Wyatt "Bubba" (8).

Bill Koontz (MO) retired after 30 years in the service industry. He plans to lead a team of operators in his area. A West Virginia Native, Bill enjoys quarter horse breeding and showing. Bill and wife Kristi are NASCAR and football fans, and have four adult children and five grandchildren.

Brian Oakley (GA) was in the army prior to MARS. He plans to expand his business to include employees within 3 years. Brian enjoys computers and motorcycles and has lived all over the world. He is married to Corrie, and they have two children, Elizabeth (15) and Brian (19).

John Riddle (MO) was in sales in the beer and wine industry. He is looking forward to builindg relationships in his service area and adding a team in the future. John coaches his 8-year-old son Michael's baseball team and serves as den leader in Cub Scouts. They enjoy attending Royals games together, and John plays golf.

Kevin Seltzer (CA) was in the healthcare industry prior to MARS. He hopes to add one to three employees within the first two years. Kevin's hobbies include go kart racing, traveling and spending time with family. He and wife Tonya have two kids, Drew (10) and Sarah (8).

Joe Weaver (MT) ran a detail shop within a dealership before coming to MARS. He is a part of Andy Ferguson's team and looks forward to growing his business. Joe enjoys hunting, camping, fishing and riding dirt bikes. He and wife Betty have one daughter, Tori (14).
