CENTURY 21 Managing Broker Appointed as New BCREA President

May 21, 2008 // Franchising.com // - Vancouver, BC - CENTURY 21 Canada is pleased to congratulate Scott Veitch, Managing Broker of CENTURY 21 Veitch Realty – Creston, on being elected as the new president of the British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA).

"My job, along with BCREA, is to help BC's 18,000 REALTORS® deal with the economic and environmental issues that represent opportunities and challenges for the BC real estate profession," says Veitch, a real estate licensee for 20 years. Veitch is particularly committed to leading BCREA's recently introduced environmental initiatives. "We recognize British Columbians are conscious of how we impact the environment. BCREA shares that concern, and I'm proud that we've recently launched an online resource, the Green Tool Kit, to help REALTORS® and homebuyers make more informed environmental housing choices."

Veitch began his real estate career as a commercial developer, and joined the CENTURY 21 System in 1999. Veitch has been recognized in the CENTURY 21 awards program numerous times, having achieved CENTURION® Producer status for four consecutive years since 2004.

He was a governor with the Real Estate Institute of BC for ten years, and president of the Kootenay Real Estate Board in 2002. Veitch joined BCREA's Board of Directors in 2003.
