Greg Michael Joins First Watch Restaurants as Vice President of Franchising

New Hire to Lead Recently Launched Franchising Plans for First Watch

May 22, 2008 // Franchising.com // BRADENTON, Fla. – As part of its plan to grow its recently launched multi-unit franchise sales strategy, First Watch Restaurants, Inc., has hired Greg Michael as Vice President of Franchising. Michael, a former Franchise Manager of Dunkin' Brands and former Vice President of Franchising and Development of Hooters of America, will be responsible for all aspects of franchise development for First Watch.

"Greg brings a wealth of experience in both start-up and large-scale franchising efforts," said Chief Executive Officer of First Watch Restaurants, Inc., Kenneth Pendery, Jr. "First Watch is excited to tap into Greg's expertise in identifying those franchisees who will best align with our company values to grow the brand."

With more than 25 years in the restaurant business, Michael brings extensive experience in franchising sales to First Watch, including one year as an outside franchising consultant to the company. He most recently successfully sold out area development agreements in his assigned region in the Southeastern United States as a Franchise Manager for Dunkin' Brands, Inc.

As Vice President of Franchising and Development for Hooters of America, Inc., Michael was a one-man sales force who was single-handedly able to grow the company from 10 to more than 250 franchise units through selling new area developments. He also previously served as Vice President of Real Estate for T.G.I. Fridays, Inc., in Dallas, Texas, where, by raising development capital, he helped grow the company into a prominent national chain. Michael received a master's degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and a bachelor's degree from University of Oklahoma in Norman, Okla.
