Marietta and North Georgia Area New Home to Innovative Children's Art Ed Franchise

KidzArt Brings Right Brain Thinking to Local Kids Through Art Classes and Camps

June 13, 2008 // Franchising.com // (Marietta, GA,) – Anxious to inspire local children with a love of art and a sense that they can all be artistic, local resident Jaime Collins recently opened a KidzArt franchise in the Marietta area. This KidzArt franchise will be serving the Marietta, Roswell, Canton, Alpharetta and Kennesaw areas. KidzArt is an international children's art education franchise company that has 60 plus franchisees throughout the US and recently expanded internationally into China.

"I love the 'no previous art experience necessary' approach KidzArt takes. Children of all ages and abilities are encouraged to discover art through our confidence-building drawing program," says Collins. "I hope to grow KidzArt into a business that can give back to its community in a big way."

KidzArt offers a unique curriculum for kids, from preschoolers to teenagers, and senior citizens too. Classes are small, up to 15 enrollees, to maximize the amount of attention paid to each student. The program teaches how to express and gain greater self-confidence through drawing.

Collins began working with KidzArt as an instructor during her senior year at Georgia State for the chance to work with children and gain teaching experience to go on to teach history. After seeing the sense of accomplishment and passion KidzArt brought to its students, Collins quickly realized that art instruction would continue to be in her future.

In addition to after-school art programs, Collins will provide art birthday parties and summer camps. She is interested in collaborating with local organizations to offer scholarships and bring events to children who may not otherwise have exposure to the arts. By partnering with schools, PTA's and other community organizations, Collins hopes to identify where these needs are and how KidzArt can help to close the gap.

"We're thrilled to help students in the Marietta area gain confidence in their artistic abilities and themselves in the process," says Shell Herman, CEO of KidzArt. "Our classes are structured to let children express themselves creatively and develop skills that will help them achieve academic success too."
