Camp Bow Wow(R) Launches Fundraising Effort to Help Cure Cancer in Dogs, via Morris Animal Foundation's Canine Cancer Campaign - Dogs Get Bandanas

Camp Bow Wow Doggy Campers Get a Campaign Bandana, Dog Owners Get an Opportunity to Help Save their Dog from Cancer and other Diseases

DENVER, June 16 // PRNewswire // -- Camp Bow Wow, the nation's fastest growing premier doggy day and overnight camp, has launched a fund raising effort on behalf of Morris Animal Foundation (MAF) http://www.MorrisAnimalFoundation.org, and its campaign to cure dog cancer and fight other major dog diseases. Beginning June 16 at 26 Camp Bow Wow locations across the nation, doggy campers will be wearing a complimentary campaign bandana provided by Camp Counselors(R). Dog owners will have the opportunity to make a donation to MAF and their effort to cure and treat dogs with cancer, as well as other serious canine diseases. Later in the year it is anticipated the effort will roll out to more Camp Bow Wow locations.

"Camp Bow Wow, http://www.campbowwow.com was founded upon the goal of helping dogs be happier and healthier," says Camp Bow Wow founder, CEO and "Top Dog" Heidi Flammang. "The human parents of our doggy campers dearly love their dogs and are concerned for their health. Thus, it makes perfect sense for Camp Bow Wow to support MAF in its work to cure and treat dogs with cancer and other terrible diseases afflicting dogs." Ms. Flammang explains each of the 26 camp locations will feature "Help Us Save Your Best Friend's Life" posters and information for doggy parents on how to contribute to MAF. To view participating Camp Bow Wow locations, visit the Camp Bow Wow Web site.

One in four dogs die of cancer. Cancer is the number one cause of death in dogs over the age of 2. MAF has a dedicated canine cancer campaign site at http://www.CureCanineCancer.org. Dog lovers can also go to the site to view a canine cancer Web exclusive featuring the latest information on dog cancer and treatment advances.

"Clearly Camp Bow Wow has a strong commitment to dog health and welfare as illustrated by their kind offer to help MAF raise funds for research to help dogs," says Dr. Patricia Olson, President and CEO of MAF.
